Yasuo Omiya, Meiji Kinenkan Permanent Cooking Advisor, has been appointed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and
Fisheries as a "Goodwill ambassador for the spread of Japanese food".
Also the chief chef Yoshiyuki Aoyagi received the "Chevalier" award for agricultural service from the French Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries.
